Jeb Bush's Son Arrested

Click on the title for the complete AP story.

AUSTIN, Texas - The youngest son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was arrested early Friday and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest, law enforcement officials said.

Many good parents that have had bright and creative children make dumbass choices, sometimes. This has been a reality for many, many good families and those that live in the public eye are no different than anyone else. But because he is a Bush and many people hate him for that reason (and that reason alone), this thing will be blown up in the MSM, as some kind evidence that they (as a family) are full of moral flaws.

What the kid did was wrong, period. But what will be the deciding factor in how I view the whole situation, will be how he reacts to it. Does he learn from it, does he get his act together? Or does he learn nothing at all and settle into a pattern of this kind, of behavior?

Many good people have done some stupid things before. Some are the stars of their professions, today. To cast this kid out for a mistake of this magnitude in the formative years of his adult life, is foolish. But get ready, the left will have a heyday with it, anyway.

I've made a number of dumbass choices over the years (nothing felonious), which is why I now live in a basement and deliver pizza for a living.

I accept as a fact of reality that I have no one to blame for this but myself.

Note to the Bush family. Emulation of the Kennedy family is not a good thing.

Les,

You know, as long as you are cool with what you are doing and not sitting on your ass collecting a check when you are perfectly capable of working, I see nothing wrong with it. BTW I always tip the pizza deliverers well. I even gave one girl an old piano sitting around. It was worth it to me to get rid of it. She had a truck drive up, they loaded it, and presto, it was gone. Got a couple of free pizzas for that one.

Mark,

LOL

At least for now, they haven't raped or killed anyone in their drunken binges.

I have good days on the job and I have a few bad days too. The chorus of "Hi Pizza Man" from the children when I make deliveries to licensed day cares is always an emotional boost for me.

While the MSM is always happy to illuminate errors made by President Bush in the past, what they cannot cover up is the fact that the man has learned from his mistakes and has moved on. We can only hope that other members of the Bush family can follow his example.

As for the Kennedy clan, isn't Teddy due for a liver transplant? And do you think that the ChiComs might comp him a free one for his service to the cause of World Socialism?

Les,

LOL

You'd think he'd need one soon. Of course, one of the criteria for it is you have to demonstrate lifestyle changes (like going on the wagon) for a good period of time, before they give you one.

Just a minor juvenile crime. He will change his behavior.

When I first heard of this young man's arrest, I thought, "So what? This happens in lots of families."

I'm disgusted with the media's yapping about this arrest and with bringing up his sister as will. Can't the media do something other than dish the dirt?

A story such as this one should be fleeting in news media. Let the gossip mongers yap about it--not the news.

Besides, it's not Jeb Bush's fault that his kids got into trouble. And this young man did nothing nearly as bad as some of the Kennedy clan.

As Shah said, Just a minor juvenile crime.

Remember how the MSM covered the arrest for speeding (well past the over 30 mph over the limit mark) of Al Gore III, during the DNC convention in 2000?

If you don't remember it, that is because the MSM didn't want to give Al Gore, Jr., then the VP, running for President any bad press during the convention.

Mark,

I remember it well. But you are right, it got a little paragraph in the "News Briefs" section.

AOW,

As always, thank you so much for your insightful input.

And one other thing Les,

Kids aren't the only ones that get excited when the pizza man comes. I know my eyes still light up.

;)
