I don't know if I found it as funny as I did ironic. The Al Qaeda guy wanted it built so they could hit it again. That makes a statement, in that by building such a tall tower, it will invite them to hit it again. They hit the twin towers twice, what's to say they won't try to hit this?
I am not sure I like the idea of such a high profile memorial. Something simple and poignant would do just fine.
