This post is my 1500th post.
I did the blogaversary thing the 1st year, but the 2nd, I didn't. PYY will be three in January and I probably won't make a big deal of that, either.
More than anything, I just want to thank all that have made PYY a stop in your blog-hopping, all that give this place a serious read. And I sincerely hope that if nothing else, I have given you something to reflect on, here and there, along the way.
I owe a special thanks to those that contribute with their comments. Many lurk and never say a word about anything, ever. And that's okay, I value their readership, just the same. But those that regularly or semi-regularly comment always seem to add something extra, something more enlightening, to the mix.
Whether it is assenting or dissenting opinions, all are welcome to comment and I hope that those that lurk will someday do so. All I have ever asked is we show respect for the other person in our dissent and we have had very few instances of ugliness here.
No one has ever been officially banned from here. I think that is a testament, within itself.
So, if you lurk and wish to comment, you have my word that I run a tight ship here, in that department. But if not, thanks for looking in and I hope you will continue to do so.
Again, thank you all, very much.

Actually, LAS—it is we readers who should be thanking you. I have always found your articles informed, interesting, and ever enlightening.
I Congratulate you on this important milestone, and thank you for making all of us more intelligent in the process. There is one thing, though. Weren’t you going to offer one of us (devoted readers) a free vacation package?

I seem to remember a certain vacation package, I won from you some time ago. And as luck would have it, I never cashed it in. I dug it out and guess what? It's still good.
So, to you my trusted friend Mustang: I am awarding you a free, all expense paid, trip to the Caribbean island of your choice on Bob and Ed's Airlines. (Remember, certain restrictions do apply.)
Your productivity is simply staggering LA.
I wonder if it wouldn't be a sensible thing to do to impose you a 35h/week limit on your activity!
1.500 posts... this is humbling to a beginner who already knows he won't even fetch the tenth of that number.
Kudos!
(I'll try to post something in English one of these days on my blog.)
Hi Flocon,
//I wonder if it wouldn't be a sensible thing to do to impose you a 35h/week limit on your activity!//
That's it. Do everything in you power to weaken American blog production so that the French bloggers can compete. Everyone knows that the only way Americans can beat the French at anything is to become workaholics and pay no attention to the finer things in life (like, art, music, and literature). ;)
Seriously, thank you for the kind words, sir.
It's not the number of posts that mean a lot. It's the quality. Some of my posts were hurried and less attention was paid to them, because I (being an American) am a multi-tasking workaholic.
I don't read French, so I will be looking forward to another English post on your site soon. But from what I see you are doing pretty well so far. It takes time to develop an audience. So, keep up the good work and it'll all fall into place.
