Much has been said about the recent Barbara West interview with Joe Biden. The radical Obama forces have probably littered their blogs with just about every derogatory name there is for her. Those of us who are resisting the forces of Marxism, disguised as "change we can believe in", are hailing it as one iota of journalistic integrity, in a mass of media collusion and corruption. (Mustang's take is here.)
One must ask themselves why a well-educated veteran news person go to such extremes? Maybe she had good reasons, maybe she had heard Obama make the statements contained in this video:
These statements were made long before anyone outside of the southside of Chicago really knew who Barack Obama was, long before we had ever heard of Joe the Plumber. These were made in 2001.
Give this a listen and you'll soon figure out why I oppose the very thought of this man being President.

I posted this too. Could this be the October surprise?
I listened to this earlier today at another site (Pardon my infidelity).
Obama is steeped in Marxism.
What will it take for American voters to understand that fact and cast their votes against him?
AOW: What will it take for American voters to understand that fact and cast their votes against him?
The Democrats could have nominated the stinking corpse of Hitler, and would probably still have won this year.
Anyway, I sure wonder how 0bambi is going to handle the press when he's Prez. Big crybaby that he is. I also wonder how the fawning press will deal with him post-election. How long will the love-affair last?
Also, imagine if eternal punching bag Sarah Palin had whined that some pro-Obama journalist's questions were unfair b/c they put her on the spot. Seriously - just imagine the SNL skit that would follow, the endless op-ed's about how she's obviously not prepared, and the hard-hitting investigative articles on how dumb the Governor is.
To give credit where credit is due, Barack Obama is (and has been) completely up front with the American people. If we did not already know that Obama is a Marxist (not a socialist), exhibit “A” is contained in this radio broadcast. Obama has also demonstrated that he does not brook difficult questions, whether from the public or from a few honest journalists. Obama is not an open book; not about his college records, not about his citizenship, and not about his long-time associates.
So the question isn’t about Barack Obama. The question is, “Is any thinking American willing to vote for this Karl Marx wannabe?” I say, no. I believe thinking Americans will vote for John McCain, not because he is a wonderful personality or even the next best thing to Ronald Reagan; they will vote for McCain because Barack Obama’s plan for the United States of America is patently un-American.
Hi LAS !
This recording even made it (well, the recording's existence / effect) onto the front page of the Daily Telegraph:
/// Barack Obama reignites fears of socialism
A radio discussion in which Barack Obama lamented failures to bring about 'redistributive change' as one of the 'tragedies' of history has reignited fears he will introduce socialist-style policies. .../... ///

//I posted this too. Could this be the October surprise?//
It's not much of a surprise, if you ask me. Not only this, it doesn't seem to phase some people who seem hellbent to vote for him anyway.
//What will it take for American voters to understand that fact and cast their votes against him?//
A tenfold recurrence of the Carter years. Double digit inflation, double digit interest rates, just to name a couple.
//The Democrats could have nominated the stinking corpse of Hitler, and would probably still have won this year.//
No Greg. Bush is Hitler. He cannot run for a third term. The name you want is Stalin, let's try to keep it straight for the non-regulars here, okay?
//To give credit where credit is due, Barack Obama is (and has been) completely up front with the American people.//
Yes sir. Tis true.
But if he gets voted in despite the amount of knowledge we DO have about him, then I would say no amount of education will help the American people. The only thing that will convince them will be, suffering like they have never seen.
As you know, my job is as secure as any in the world. It will not be me that suffers initially. But someone I know will. My kids, your kids, will once again have to look at us say they screwed up. And what happens when things get bad? They start looking backward and say the old way was better. (Consider it a rite of passage, when the kids finally realize their parents weren't such dumbasses after all.)
But meanwhile, back at the ranch, the pendulum swings back harder and farther, each time.
Amerloque,
From the article and the tape:
//"One of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that."//
In other words, it's not good enough to control the courts, they must control the legislature and the executive branch in order to implement the radical changes they feel are necessary to help people prosper. The problem from my standpoint is beast summed up in this old adage:
Give a man a fish, he eats a meal. Teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime.
Socialism will not work in the US.
Tell me about socialism!

Nicolas Sarkozy
The man was heralded as a breath of fresh air, a free marketeer, a break from the past from France's state controlled past etc etc etc.
A friend of America. (until the first fallout I noted)
Well! when the going gets rough in France they all fall back on their socialist autocratic baggage to soothe the huddled masses. It's in the gene pool and there is nothing you can do about it.
I noted on different blogs that I never believed that this gentleman was a true believer and since the beginning of his Presidency he has done nothing of concrete value that has changed my opinion. The problem was that the other candidate was worse.
On Wednesday morning Nov 5, if our new president is Barack Obama, fasten your seat belts because it's going to be one hell of a ride.
//The problem was that the other candidate was worse.//
Sounds like we have the same script here. We vote for McCain because Obama is far worse.

Gov. Linda Lingle, R-Hawaii
HONOLULU, Hawaii – Although the legitimacy of Sen. Barack Obama's birth certificate has become a focus of intense speculation – and even several lawsuits – WND has learned that Hawaii's Gov. Linda Lingle has placed the candidate's birth certificate under seal and instructed the state's Department of Health to make sure no one in the press obtains access to the original document under any circumstances.
The governor's office officially declined a request made in writing by WND in Hawaii to obtain a copy of the hospital-generated original birth certificate of Barack Obama.
"It does not appear that Dr. Corsi is within any of these categories of persons with a direct and tangible interest in the birth certificate he seeks," wrote Roz Makuala, manager of constituent services in the governor's office, in an e-mailed response to a WND request seeking the information.
