Understanding Americans

To my American readers, Flocon is trying to understand Americans again. Not sure I did much to contribute to a better understanding, but I left my two-cents worth.

I am sure he won't mind, if you do too.

It seems to be difficult to understand more than half of Americans these days.

Merci LAS :-)
You have a far raching voice in the blogosphere...
And to think these posts I write in English for you. Now, what you've got me doing... ;-)
What I don't understand is why Greg has to be regularly reminded to pay me a visit???

Hi AICS,

//It seems to be difficult to understand more than half of Americans these days.//

We aren't nearly as homogeneous as many believe, are we?

I think it's hard for Euros that have never been here to understand just how different people can be. Like Mustang said at Flocons post, there are southerners, north-easterners, westerners, midwesterners, etc.

Hi Flocon,

First, you are welcome.

//And to think these posts I write in English for you.//

And I thank you. I may not read them right away, but I read them. (We, greedy capitalists, must work ourselves into the ground to attain nirvana, you know.) ;)

it was an interesting read. Many of the points I have heard/read/discussed before so it repetitive. Not to say unneccessary. Whether or not one agrees with dialogue does not make it fruitless. In fact, any communication with another culutre or society only opens doors and creates mutual respect.
After I wrote that, it occured to me it may hold a record as the least offensive comment in the history of the blogosphere

If you stick around here, you'll find that all of the regulars here are the least offensive in the entire blogosphere. Sounds like you'll fit in just fine. Thanks for stopping by.
