Biden: Obama Will Be Tested With Generated Crisis

This report is coming from the NY Post.

"Mark my words," Biden told donors at a Seattle fund-raiser Sunday night.

"It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America.

"Watch. We're going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.

"And he's going to need help . . . to stand with him. Because it's not going to be apparent initially; it's not going to be apparent that we're right."

The logical questions that follow are:

1. Who will generate the crisis?

2. Why will it not be apparent initially?

This is a huge political gift, gift-wrapped and delivered to the doorstep of the McCain HQs. This is precisely why Biden has not been out on the trail so much these days, unlike his GOP counterpart Gov. Palin.

UPDATE:

Obama did not mention this in his speech today. However, I have heard two surrogates try to tap dance their way out of this. They are stumbling over their own words, they are desperately trying to clarify what Biden meant, to no avail. I think it's obvious what he meant. But they will spend the day telling us all what he meant, as if we cannot read.

He's on the ropes.

Let me try to answer. I think Biden is expressing the obvious truth that our enemies will see an opening due to Obama's clear lack of experience and his habit of avoiding - rather than confronting - difficult issues. They see a guy that they can push around, so they will "pull something." Who knows what. Maybe it will be Iran using its terror proxies to attack Israel. Maybe it will be Russia inventing some fictitious reason to invade Ukraine. Maybe it will be Iran using its terror proxies to attack the US.

As to the second question, Biden is referring to the Messiah's response to the crisis. "It's not going to be apparent that we're right." In other words, they will do something crazy and unpopular. Maybe Obama will feel he needs to overreact to prove he really is tough. For example, he could respond to a terror attack at home by trying to institute martial law. Or, in the case of Iran's attack on Israel, it could mean the opposite - that he'll abandon our ally and allow Israel to be destroyed.

No matter how you translate Joe the Dumber's comments, it's not good. The mere fact that an Obama presidency would generate an international crisis within the first six months is reason enough not to vote for him.

Greg, my take was a bit more Machiavellian.

Oh, you think Obama might try himself to manufacture a crisis, just to demonstrate he can handle it? Demonic! And possible. God help us....

Back in June, the Daily Telegraph ran an interview with John Bolton :

/// Israel 'will attack Iran' before new US president sworn in, John Bolton predicts

John Bolton, the former American ambassador to the United Nations, has predicted that Israel could attack Iran after the November presidential election but before George W Bush's successor is sworn in. …/…

Amerloque, too, feels that it might be a bit more Florentine ...

Ducky, what this has to do with Biden's warning of a "generated" crisis, is beyond me. But just between you and me, I don't care if she goes to jail. She did the wrong thing and now she must pay the consequences, unlike the other bimbo that cried rape in the Duke lacrosse case. She never spent a day in jail, did she?
