The Democratic Party's Road To Absolute Power

Three weeks ago, when asked about whether the Democrat-led Congress should assume any responsibility in the current fianacial crisis, she said no. And she said it so emphatically, it was utterly contemptible.

Two weeks ago, I published a post, with an embedded video as evidence showing some Democrats in denial. In it, Maxine Waters, Gregory Meeks, Artur Davis, Lace Clay, and Barney Frank (all Democrats) were all seen angrily denying (during an official hearing in 2004) there were any problems with Freddie and Fannie, while verbally debasing those claiming there was.

Today, we can see a letter drafted and sent to the, then, Senate Majority Leader and Chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. This was in 2006.

McCain Letter

Note the names of the people who signed this letter. One name you will find here is John McCain. One name you will not find is Barack Obama. In fact, none of the signatures you see on this letter are Democrats.

This irritates me for many reasons and since this is not a college thesis, I cannot begin to present and explain them all. But one thing I will say is this:

If the American people do not wake up and hold the Democratic controlled Congress accountable for this crisis, I have little hope for the next two years. If the American people do not hold Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid accountable for their lack of attention in this crisis, the next two years will be far more disastrous than the last.

Barack Obama was part of this farce too. He and his ACORN friends were raking it in, which is precisely why you did not see his name on this letter imploring the leadership to take a look at this. They were all so afraid the Senate would take appropriate action, which would dry up their cash cow.

But the sad thing about this isn't that they are escaping strict scrutiny in the press or being held accountable by their constituents. It's sad because they will all be re-elected, the next time they are up for re-election. There is no accountability for corrupt career politicians, unless the people vote them out.

I, for one, amd damned sick and tired of how nothing is anyone's fault. It insults my intelligence when everything is blamed on the President and none of it is Congress'e fault. When presented with the outcomes of these failures, the Dems leading this body will all respond with their favorite cliched catch-phrase of the year, "due to the failed policies of George Bush".

While it is certainly true George Bush did not use his bully pulpit effectively enough, he has little control over what Congress does. This issue was brought up more than once in the halls of Congress and each time, the Democrats put the squash on it.

Today, the bulk of the American people are too ignorant to take these things into account, when they enter the polls next month, As a result, there will no accountability, only rewards are ready to be handed out. Four years of the Presidency will be awarded to Barack Obama for his inaction. And two more years of a Democratic controlled Congress, with the comedy team of Pelosi and Reid leading it, will be awarded to them.

If this happens, do not be surprised. They will have almost absolute power to spend this nation into total bankruptcy and drive this economy into the ground much deeper, than it is today. Don't believe me? Think I am using scare tactics?

Take a look at
what's coming down the pike after the election.

After consulting with Barack Obama, Democratic leaders are likely to call Congress back to work after the election in hopes of passing legislation that would include extended jobless benefits, money for food stamps and possibly a tax rebate, officials said Saturday.

The bill's total cost could reach $150 billion, these officials said.

This would be almost a trillion dollars total pork, spent in the last half of the year.

No folks, get ready for a rough ride because this is only the beginning. They are already arguing over how to divide up the spoils, before the votes are even cast and counted. If this is allowed to happen, there will be absolutely no accountability, whatsoever. If this happens the only check and balance the people will have, will be the courts. And we all know we can count on them, right?

Unless there is a miracle, it is an obama admin. Throw in a Pelosi led House and Reid, you may have the ingredients for another Republican Revolution like 94. The massive spending and comis misadventures may ... may make the American people realize what happens when socialists run our govt.
Then we unload on the lot.

If you are out there.

My NASN just stopped this morning and of course I can't get a straight answer from Noos. Just a black screen on NASN. Everything else works normally. Do you have your NASN today? Ugh!

I think ACORN was the Phoenix that rose in response to the 94 GOP revolution. They will only get stronger under an Obama admin with liberal Democrat lawyers placed in every single US Attorney's office.

God help us.

Excellent post, LA. We can only pray that they fail.

With a democratic controlled Congress, Obama will be able to push through anything that he wants. He will be accountable to no one at all. Certainly not to those that hold the "Conservative" point of view. It will be a disaster and all we can do is sit and watch it happen. We can write letters till are hands are numb and it won't amount to a hill of beans.

That the public can still be this ignorant to the causes of the financial crisis, blow my mind. I don't consider myself a genius by no means, but compared to these people I am brain surgeon. That's the MSM for you. It tells the people what to think, and they follow along like lost sheep.

Oh by the way, doesn't your athritis hurt from all this typing. Mustang let it slip that you were 10 year older than him and you told me he was ancient. LOL

Maybe there will be some "Draft Newt" stickers available, if this happens. Right now, he is the only one that has enough sense to clean this mess up after the Dems get done with it.

He may be the only one that can. We all know Europe can't/won't.

I have. Still waiting on confirmation.

And you believe Mustang? He stowed away on Noah's ark in camouflage. He was so well covered, they thought he was a gorilla.

See, now it makes perfect sense to me why their were 3 gorilla's on Noah's ark. I've always wondered about that!

Ah, so your denying it? Woe is me, another case of who to believe? :-)

One day, the Ass and the Fox entered into a partnership for their mutual protection. After they agreed on their mutual protection, the Ass and the Fox found themselves confronted by a Jackal. The Fox, seeing the approach of danger, approached the Jackal and offered him the capture of the Ass if he would in turn pledge protection for the Fox. The Jackal made the promise (and several more). So the Fox led the Ass to a deep pit and pushed him in. The Jackal, seeing that the Ass was secure, then clutched the Fox. This fractured fairy tale brought to you by Aesop, who I knew personally back in the old Corps. Now substitute Congress for Ass, the voter for the Fox, and Obama for the Jackal.

Where was Aesop wrong?

He wasn't. But after fronting you out on your age, I am quite surprised you didn't make ME the ass.

LA, you don't need any help from me on that issue. You're doing just fine.
