Monday AM QB

Colts 31 - Texans 27

Make no mistake here, the Colts did not win this game. Houston LOST this game. The Colts had no offense, no running game, and no defense for the bulk of this game. And yet, they were able to pull down a "W".

Don't get me wrong, I am tickled they pulled it out. But I have to feel bad for the Houston QB who played a great game and kept Manning off of the field, until it mattered most. The lesson he needs to take away from this? Take care of the ball. Because if you do not, veteran teams will make you pay for it if given the opportunity.

Indy scored 21 points in the span of two minutes and some change. Unfortunately for Houston, they came at the end of the game.

Skins 23 - Eagles 17

I didn't get to see this one, but this is a big win for Washington. They needed to win this one, because keeping pace with the Giants is going to be one tough task.

Titans 13 - Ravens 10

Gutsy win against a very good defensive team. I am beginning to think that Tennessee is for real. I think Young has lost his starting job, for now.

Pats 30 - 49ers 21

Even without Brady, these guys are finding a way to win. this says much about the team as a whole. It's good that the team can play well, taking pressure off of Cassel. This gives him time to develop.

Giants 44 - Seahawks 6

Right now, there is no other team playing better than the Giants. These guys are the team to beat. To be the champs, you have to beat the champs and so far, no one has. They did this without Burris, who was suspended for the game for a team rules violation of some kind. This sends a message to him and the rest of the NFL, they don't need him.

I was listening to the Bears game and keep looking at the Colts game. Turned off te game and came back to see the fumble recovery TD. We know Manning can pull off these wins. But a big thank you for Sage and his ball hhandling clinic

You certainly didn't miss much in the Eagles game! (sigh)

They sure don't look like much this year.....but our Phillies are making up for it!! :-)

Now, hold on a minute, pardner. If you tevo'd the game, roll back to about 4:30 left in the game and put in on slow motion, and I guarantee you will see Peyton Manning use the Jedei mind trick on Sage Rosenfool.

Skins-Eagles: As I predicted at the beginning of the season, and the retracted, and then kind of sat on the fence on, the Redskins are a good team.

Pats-49ers: Like I said, I didn't watch the game. Okay, I watched a little. All of it. Anyway, "finding a way to win" is a way to put it. Good thing S-F wasn't capable of exploiting NE's weak secondary. Good thing S-F's defense isn't very good. Also, Belichick says on the radio just now that they may have been giving away snap counts, allowing defenses a jump on the QB. Now, is that cheating on the other teams, or stupidity on the Patriots?

Giants-Seahawks: Still haven't beat anyone good. At what point does the natn'l media start talking about running up the score, disrespecting the game, etc?

O/T, I went for jury duty today and fully expected to be "excused", but was seated on a jury for the first time in my life.

Hold on there, pardner.

Week One Score:

NYG 16 - Wash 7

By your own admission, NYG beat a good team.

(And you are a lawyer.)

BTW, what is the accused being charged with in your jury trial?

Redskins must a been rusty that week, and I will answer no more questions without my lawyer present.

As to the real trial, the guy is charged with aggravated assault with intent to murder, and some weapons charges. Basically, he's accused of shooting a scumbag he had a beef with five times. The victim-scumbag lived and will be testifying. It's a little scary.
