Iran: It's Role In Today's Global Jihad

Shah Alexander has written a piece about the role Iran has played and continues to play in the world arena. Click on the link or the title to access the full article.

Global American Discourse: Iran, 25 years on

Shah makes a lot of sense, in one area he writes:

The most detrimental factor in the Middle East is not the Palestine conflict but the Iranian Revolution. While the former is an ethnic clash between Jewish and Palestinians, the latter has lead to the rise of Islamic fundamentalism all over the Middle East.

This is what the left does not comprehend. All they can see is Israel and America's policy towards Israel, as a valid reason for the instability in the world, at the hands of Islamofascists. But the reality is, from the time of the Iranian Revolution on, hardcore Islamic fundamentalism has been at war with western civilization. Most of us didn't recognize that fact, until 9/11/01. (Many still don't.)

Today, the Palestinian cause is still used as an excuse to wage a brutal terror war against anyone of their choosing; when it is in fact, their desire to destroy all of the western world's culture and replace it with a barren and fruitless culture, of obey or die. But you can't tell that to a leftist cult member.

Islamic fundamentalism has also found a home in Saudi Arabia where they preach the particular brand of hate that drives AQ.
