The NFL starts its preseason Saturday in Tokyo, with the Indianapolis Colts playing the Atlanta Falcons. The game starts at 5:00AM EDT/2:00AM PDT.
I don't like preseason games because of the risk of player injury, in a meaningless game. Starters usually take a few snaps, then the rest of the game consists of reserves and those trying to make the team. I know it generates a little revenue and I know it helps coaches evaluate who to keep and who to cut. But for me, I just can't get excited about a preseason game, in any sport. Teams can go 4-0 in preseason and then, go 3-13 in the regular season.
Anyway, now would be a good time to ask my readers if anyone would like to start a team blog, on the NFL and NCAA football season. If anyone is interested, let me know.

But you guys will be up there. Auburn has had a very good team the last couple of years, and this year will be looking good.
But the Trojans are the still the champs until someone else says, they are not. ;)
USC sucks, they sucked two years ago when they came in and beat us in season opener. They sucked last year when they couldnt just lose to Stanfod or Cal, and will suck when they go undefeated again this year!
And yeah, we have had a nice time lately. Our QB is pretty green though. If he can pull it together, I think we are looking at a 10, maybe 11 win season this time around.
Its hard though, the SEC really is a tough conference. Its the competiveness of it all. Here, we really do hate the Alabama team and their fans during football season. And Tennesee... I hope Fulmer gets so fat this season he pops.
But, OMG, lets get there already, the summer is too long!
SEC is the best conference, hands down. The Big 12 used to be there, but with the loss of Nebraska from premier status, they have dropped as a conference.
I have a buddy I work with that went to Arizona State. He hates it here becuase we beat on the PAC-10 all the time. No Defense, its like a basketball conference when you look at the scores... but, they have alot of talent out there. Should be interesting this season to see Urban Myer from Utah coaching an SEC team. Went undefeated last year, dont think he pull that off this year, even with all the talent Florida has.
